The agency was founded in January of 2014 by Principal Agents Joshua Trager and Eugene Reznitsky after working for 3 major insurance companies previously.

Trager Insurance Group was conceived in Meriden, Connecticut on the principle that clients should be treated like family; and family should come first. Joshua and Eugene wanted to take their experiences that worked from each of them to create a firm where agents worked closely with clients, taking time to fully understand their unique needs and craft an insurance portfolio that would change and evolve throughout their lives.

Being an independent agency gives us the unique ability to use more than 40 carriers to see which company fits the customers needs, rather than just one quote from one company. Not only that, but we would also be your advocates between the companies, so you would get to speak to an agent directly instead of having to wait. We ourselves want to build that long lasting relationship within our client base to help them as they grow and as we grow.

In January of 2017 the agency has officially re-branded itself as Trager Reznitsky Insurance Group and moved its headquarters from Meriden, Connecticut to North Haven, Connecticut. Today, Joshua leads the Personal Lines Insurance division and Eugene runs the Commercial Insurance division of the agency to ensure that the agents are getting the appropriate training to grow their business within the agency.
